Why Vegan?
Veganism is a compassionate way of life and not, as commonly believed, a diet. Transitioning to a vegan lifestyle can seem daunting, but the prospect of making such a significant lifestyle change is always scarier than the actual act of doing so. A well-balanced vegan diet low in salt and refined foods may not only promote healthy aging, but it may also lower the risks and effects of heart disease, stroke, and diabetes. Our bodies become better at absorbing nutrients like iron, zinc, and calcium from the intestine as we reduce our consumption of them on a vegan diet.
