Our Story

At Ubuntu Wellness NPO, we are driven by a passion for creating positive change in Africa through plant-based solutions. Founded in 2013, our award-winning charity and free training school has been dedicated to promoting skills, creating jobs, and solving food security issues in the region.
Our unique social impact model brings together both for-profit and non-profit sectors to amplify the plant-based community. We are proud to be a level 1 BBBEE NPO ‘Ubuntu Trust’ with a subsidiary level 2 ‘Ubuntu Academy’, working together to make a meaningful impact on the lives of those we serve.

For the past 10 Years we've been empowering communities through education, training and plant-based solutions. Creating a sustainable and healthier future for Africa.

Ubuntu Vision

To create Africa’s first financially sustainable wellness-focused educational Academy model.
Only if we nurture and love ourselves can we nurture the planet back to health – we are ALL in this together. In Africa we call this ‘Ubuntu’ and it must apply not just to humans, but to all species and animals. All living beings, including Gaia, have the ability to heal, if just given the chance to do so.

Ubuntu Mission

To empower communities to activate and promote a healthy lifestyle change to  improve human health and heal our environment.
Focusing on vulnerable communities in South Africa with the focus of solving food security issues to eliminate world hunger (UN SDG #2 – Zero Hunger) and rebuild by providing confidence, healing, skills, and motivation to journey towards a sustainable future.
